Weber and Scott Neustadter and it is directed by Marc Webb. The story of this film is about love and relationship; it’s not like a romantic love story. It casts Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Tom Hansen, an architect and Zooey Deschanel as Summer Finn, an assistant of Tom’s boss and non believer of true love. In the movie Tom and Summer start dating and get closer with the time, but do not stay in the relationship for long as one believes in true love and other not. The movie is all about looking back on the failed romance of Tom and it ends on the 500th day when he meets a new girl named Autumn. Producers and the team of this movie decided to shoot in San Francisco, but later it was shot at Los Angeles. (500) Days of Summer was commercially and critically a successful movie. According to the critics, it was among 10 most romantic comedies of 2009. It bagged many awards and got nomination by lot of award giving bodies. This film got two nominations in Golden Globe Awards and was included in 10 best movies of the year by National Board of Review Awards. The writers of the movie received Hollywood Breakthrough Screenwriter Award at Hollywood Film Festival.

Christopher Hawthrone of Los Angeles Times stated about the film as “finely honed sense of taste”. This romantic comedy movie is all about love; it’s not a romantic love story. In 2009, this movie was considered as one of the 10 most romantic comedies.
