The most expensive yacht in the world is owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, and has renamed it as "Dubai". This super-yacht has been believed to optimize the pleasure of cruising expedition. This 158 meter long, vessel can accommodate 24 people.
Due to insufficient funds, the work was suspended in the year 1998, but Dubai’s Crown Prince Jefri Bolkiah, who is the younger brother of the Sultan of Brunei, took charge of the project in the year 2001. This luxury mega yacht was earlier called Platinum 525 and the uncompleted yacht was put in a dock at the yard for people to see. The Prince named it The Golden Star until it was sold and renamed the Dubai.
The most expensive luxury yacht in the world has a heli-pad, submarine, hangar for small aircraft, and a squash court. With interiors designed by Philippe Starck, the luxury yacht has fascinating interiors and a health spa offering natural beauty treatments to its passengers. For those looking for a splash, Golden Star has a large, comprehensive swimming pool whereas for fitness conscious people, it offers a modern-facility gym. The boat offers impressive security features to prevent undesired infiltration and ensure passengers’ safety. No wonder, this luxurious boat is priced above $300 million.
This super-yacht has owner’s suite, five spacious VIP suites, and six guest sites. All suites have open balconies and boat features four diesel engines with more than 9000 hp. On moving towards the bridge deck, you can find captain’s quarters with an independent lounge and office. With so many engaging facilities and luxuries on-board this super mega yacht is not only world’s most expensive boat, but also the most luxurious boat you could have ever seen. You can call it Platinum 525, GoldenStar, Golden Star, Dubai or just the most expensive yacht in the world.

Does anyone know how much it costs to fill this yacht with fuel. I heard a crazy price like $50,000.00 can this be true.
If it carries something like 350 tons of fuel how much does that equate to..
March 24th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
With today’s market-prices 350 tons of MGO cost US$175,000.00.

Really beautiful. Why not to have the best if you have the money o pay for it. Just remember that many families will live because of this magnificent yacht and they are the families of the employees, which means stop criticizing rich people if they do build big or massive hotels, houses, yachts, planes, etc. because all these need staff to run them and staf have families, i.e. many people will be fed and the owner will enjoy their wealth instead of keeping them in banks. Mabrouk for HH Sh. Mohammed bin Rashid the Yacht, the Hotel, …everything znd God bless you as you have done a lot to your country. Please accept my respect.

Mr. Jermaine Ammari,
You are a very wise person.
I wish all the comments regarding people who made difference in the world were extraordinary like yours.
unfortunately the envy conforts minds of people uncapable of making any difference, and all they concentrate at, is to try to blame their lack of admiration in critiscism of the state of the art achievement of somebody else.

Wait im surpised that Jim Patteison “Nova Spirit” yacht isnt on this list. I heard it cost $250 million dollars canadian but i might be wrong.

Dear Jermaine and David: The person who owns this yacht is the “King” of Dubai, a country that has its money from oil. This dude was born in a solid gold crib, he never did anything remarkeble or important for Dubai, the world, or human kind to deserv all the billions he has. Now 8 people died trying to build this boat. I don’t think capitalism is fair to EVERYBODY.
