Most expensive cars in the world 2008 – #09 Lamborghini Murcielago
Top ten most expensive cars in the world, has the Lamborghini Murcielago scorching the ninth position with its outstanding performance and excellent features. Automobile Lamborghini S.p.A first developed the automobile, with the hope that people would accept the car as the fancy of their dreams. Designed by Luc Donckerwolke, this car is a dynamic phenomenon on the road.
The Lamborghini Murcielago followed Diablo in 2002. The car is a two door and two seat luxurious coupe combined with accurate functioning, making it convenient both for the driver and the car riders. 50 special edition of Murcielago were introduced in 2003, to celebrate the company’s 40 years of celebration.
The surprising street ranger for most expensive cars
Installed with a V12 engine, the car has the gear box mounted in front part of the engine and the rear differential integrated into the engine unit. You can say that, it is a permanent four wheeler drive with central viscous coupler. Engineers have planed out this precise detailing of layout, thus enabling optimal weight distribution (that is 42% front and 58% rear) with stupendous advantage for braking, traction and handling. The suspension design has been beautifully planed out by the engineers to render a high-performance GT, but at the same time the car is in well tune with the Lamborghini tradition.
The rear part of the Murcielago features excellent system to cool down the engine air. Equipped with the “Variable Air-flow Cooling System”, the car enjoys the special privilege of adjusting the aperture of these air intakes to provide a driving condition. If you love speed, then drive the car to your delight, by correcting the aerodynamic equilibrium at every speed level and by altering the angle of rear spoiler.
The rear spoiler has the ability to assume three different positions, according to the speed of the car – when closed, the speed remains between 0 and 80 mph; when partial, the speed remains between 80 and 140 and when fully open, the speed remains above 140 mph.
Pantograph shaped, the windscreen wiper is deigned in a way to enhance the area swept by the wiper blade, thus washing out the blind spots in the visual field of the driver. At high speed level, the driver will find it easy to drive the car, since the driver’s view is clear and crystal. The car also features some other remarkable qualities like, the wing mirrors that can be folded electrically and then mounted on long support arms, so that the drive can enjoy a clear and distant view beyond the rear wings. But the major drawback is that, the mirror shakes terribly when the car starts to move at high level speed.
What is most appreciating about the car is that, it has longer lifetime sustainability and is much lighter to encourage smooth ride. Stylized in “state-of art” system, the car is hype in the market. The car includes a number of interior items, which are made out of carbon fibre, thus adding an ethnic style to the whole look. So, after considering all the aspects, the Lamborghini Murcielago deserves the ninth position out of the top ten most expensive cars in the world.
