Gospel Music Association Music Week 2008 - April 19th to 23rd

Christian Music festival and Concert - Gospel Music Association Music Week (GMA) is the best five day festival of Gospel Music in America. With over one hundred of today’s best Gospel artists filling the stages and other areas, this will be a praise filled event, worshipping Him along with over 3000 others.

Sunday morning will bring the Chapel service with this year’s guest speaker, the author Beth Moore from Living Proof Ministries. The service will be lead by Travis Cottrell, and the combination of the two gifted speakers will be very powerful. Just one of the events at the Gospel Music Association Music Week.

The pinnacle of the weekend is the Sunday Evening Worship, where all will come together to praise and worship. Led by Michael W. Smith, one of the most influential writers of contemporary Christian music, and with further music from Israel and New Breed, the mix will be perfect to glorify His name. At the Sunday Evening Worship event,  Mandisa will also be performing. She was in the top nine finalists of American Idol in 2006, and has performed with the likes of Stevie Wonder in the past. Her faith comes through in everything she does, and her return to the Gospel Music Association Music Week 2008 will be a blessing to all.

Tuesday brings the Southern Gospel Music Guild Awards, and on the Wednesday, like in years past, there will be the Annual Dove Awards, packed with top artists and performers from the Christian world.

The Gospel Music Association Music Week is also never complete without spending time getting to know what is new in the Christian world. There are seminars for those in the audio and radio industry, others for those in retail and yet more for musicians of all types.

Of course, not one minute will be left without worship. Each morning can be started with Artist morning devotions. This is where the top artists will share their stories, testimonies and life stories. Lunches, breaks and one-on-one sessions will ensure that, along with the 3000 other Christians at the festival, your life will be filled with the Spirit from the start to the end of the Gospel Music Association Music Week.
