Cornerstone Music Festival 2008, Bushnell, IL - June 30th - July 5th
The Cornerstone Music Festival, also known as CStone is one of the leading Christian music festivals in America, drawing over 20,000 like-minded music lovers from all over the world to experience the best in Christian Music today.
The line-up for 2008 is already taking shape with some of the best bands already signed up, but more and more are being added continually. With over 100 bands already signed up, the main stage plays host to five of the top Christian acts on the planet each night. Shaping up to be an amazing night will be the Friday, with possibly fifteen bands on the main stage. The Friday happens to be the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Cornerstone Music Festival. Mike Farris will be taking centre stage with his funky Christian mix of music – you won’t be disappointed. Also on stage will be Flatfoot 56, The Dave Crowder Band, The Glorious Unseen and the 77s.
Cornerstone Music Festival is more than just music though. There are a large number of seminars to attend – prompting thought into art, culture and spirituality. There are also forums for poetry and art and plenty of ways to express yourself, or to see and meet others.
For the younger audience, there are plenty of events designed for the High School ages. Biblically based teaching, wild drama and music will keep every minute filled praising the Lord. There are even events and areas set aside for an even younger audience. It has to be said that the Cornerstone Music Festival has something for Christians of all ages.
With the New Band showcase area, you can be among the first to see the up-and-coming artists in the Christian world. These bands never fail to impress, and so many of today’s artists started out this way.
So, with a mix of new music, old stars, art, drama, seminars and a huge number of Christians coming each year, you would be crazy to miss the Cornerstone Music Festival.
