Polo whip is an instrument that is used by polo players for guiding the horse to go in the required directions. The whip can be used on the horse shoulders as well behind the legs.

The whip used for shoulders is usually short in length and is used to correct the direction of the horse. This guides the horse to go in the required direction. The whip used for behind the leg aids in forward movement of the horse. Polo whips are generally used behind the legs to aid in movement of the horse further.

Polo whips are stiffer with around 90 cm in length with a large end stop and a wrist loop. Handling this whip will not require the player to remove hands off the reins.
