BuzzFest Music Festival, Houston, TX – April 26th 2008
This year’s BuzzFest Music Festival, at the incredible outdoor venue, The Woodlands Pavilion, is already SOLD OUT. The organisers are saying that the only way to win tickets now is on BuzzFM, so I hope you have yours!
Headlining this year will be Theory of a Dead Man, the hard rock group from Canada. They will hopefully be riding high after the announcement of their third album (Scars & Souvenirs) out on April 1st. They’re “So Happy” that they are playing this year.
The other headline act this hear at BuzzFest Music Festival, is the alternative rock band Finger Eleven, known as F11. Strong after their success with Paralyzer last year, this is set to be a strong set. I’m hoping that they play another fresh cover of a song like Another Brick in the Wall.
I heard on the Internet that the singer/front man of My Chemical Romance may well be returning to a more punk rock sound, which should be interesting to see – we are in for a great performance though because the band have been touring with Linkin Park and writing lots of material. The BuzzFest Music Festival will hopefully see them at their best yet.
Bringing things to a close will be the rock group 3 Doors Down. With a string of hits behind them, there is so much that could be played on the night. The band’s new album, called 3 Doors Down, will have just been released, so we will be in for a loud, hard rock time. Let’s hope they play their latest hit “It’s Not My Time”.
The whole afternoon of modern rock’s greatest bands will be on two stages this year, and the side stage area plays host to bands such as Filter, 10 Years, Atreyu, Story of the Year and the Sick Puppies. With bands booked back to back, you can’t beat the BuzzFest Music Festival.
