Bonnaroo Music Festival 2008, Manchester, TN – June 12th to 15th 2008
2008 Bonnaroo Music Festival looks like it’s going to be another rocking festival, with a huge line up of the world’s best music acts playing over four days. With over seventy acts booked to play, Manchester TN will be the place-to-be in the second week of June this year.
Headlining will be the amazing Pearl Jam, still rocking America after nearly thirty years at the top. Pearl Jam remain one of the most popular alternative rock bands and along with the other top acts will be well worth this year’s admission price of $209.50 (including camping and parking).
Another mainstay of the rock festival circuit is due to play at the Bonnaroo Music Festival this year – the incredible Metallica! Watch out for all the anthems such as “Enter the Sand Man” and “Nothing Else Matters”. We will also see another treat from the past, with Robert Plant playing a set with the beautiful Alison Krauss. Also playing are the mighty My Morning Jacket, with their mix of indie and psychedelic rock. They are a regular of this festival as they play for the fifth time.
With a line-up of all top quality acts, including Lez Zeppelin, Zappa Plays Zappa, and even Kanye West (fresh from performing at the 2007 MTV Music Awards and winner of the best Rap Album at the 50th Grammy Awards), the Bonnaroo Music Festival will be hard to forget.
My top tip this year is to see BB King, the Greatest Guitarist of All Time. At the age of 82, BB has over 50 years of performing under his belt. There can’t be much better than this. And when you can also get a limited edition DVD of the whole festival – you can re-live the whole crazy long weekend again and again!
